For tougher residue, a baking soda and water paste with a non-abrasive sponge does the job. For stubborn stains or burned oil buildup, Bar Keepers Friend is your best option. Two things to avoid: abrasive sponges, which can scratch the brushed finish, and putting a hot pan directly into cold water — let it cool first to avoid thermal shock to the surface.
